SubZero performed the refrigeration and thermal scopes on this significant Hawaiian foodservice project. This project consisted of 15,000 sq. ft. refrigerated retail space for restaurant bulk purchases and 21,000 sq. ft. of food storage for their grocery chain. In order to meet the pallet count requirements within the freezer, the existing building walls and roof were raised 20 feet to allow us to build a 36-foot-tall freezer space. Both were built inside their existing 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
Y. Hata formed in 1913 in Hilo, HI. They continue today to be a leader in foodservice distribution in the Pacific Region.
