SubZero performed the thermal and refrigeration scope on this 21,000 sq. ft. cooler and freezer that serves as the Western Distribution Center for life-sciences company Beckman Coulter. The mechanical system was designed to have redundant back-up capacity to maintain the critical storage environment for blood plasma, reagents and other biomedical products.
Beckman Coulter develops, manufactures and markets products that simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical testing. Headquartered in Brea, CA, the company employs over 10,000 people, with $2.4 billion in annual sales.
